Roberts Family Christmas

Growing up, the worst part of Christmas was when it was over with. Sadly, I'm still that same kid just now trapped in an adult body! I'm still so sad when it goes by so fast. BUT the good news is that as you get older, families get bigger - which means you get to spread out the festivities more! YAY! I have some friends who celebrate Christmas with family and friends three or four weekends of the month of December! How fun would that be! (Though a lot of work baking and getting ready during the week - but totally worth it!)

Well my family of three (soon to be four) get to celebrate four times this year. (Once with the Roberts family, then with the Carter family, then at our own home, then with my grandparents in their home.) This weekend started off our festivities with our northern family.

We had a great time (minus the MUCH later start than anticipated, followed by my never ending back pain I was having! Ugh!) We always enjoy our visits to Marc's folks and look forward to our next trip!

Enjoy the pictures! I'll try to add some descriptions underneath.

Maddie winding up her new tic toc!

Maddie starting it off with the first gift! Video of this gift to follow in the next post!

She was so excited to open her little dolls!

She was doing a great time multi tasking - saying "open it daddy!" while unwrapping her next gift! Ha ha!

She still wasn't sure what it was....But boy oh boy was she excited when she found out it was her new doll house!

Mommy was excited too - so I had to help her unwrap it faster!

Enjoying playing with her new toys after her nap. Grandpa did a great job playing dolls with her!

Trying to get a picture with a two year old who has a cookie in her hand is near impossible! Oh well - she's cute no matter how she's posed!

Opening her stocking that evening. First thing she pulls out - whistles! Her favorite!

And she had no hesitation with what she was suppose to do with that thing! Princesses always know!

Trying out her new toy!

"Blow daddy!" Ha ha - so cute!

"Reading" her new book!

We went to see the lights in Warsaw later that evening. Maddie wanted to wave like Frosty and her daddy was more than happy to oblige!

More to come...
