Under Construction!

They say when you're pregnant you go through a phase called "nesting". Well I don't think I'm there yet. From what I understand during that phase you clean and organize like crazy.....Well, our house if far from clean or organized.....However, I am O.C.D. about certain things. I keep worrying about not having enough time to get the baby's room done. So this weekend Marc and I decided to "start" getting things around to do the baby's room this week.....Well, once it get started, its hard to stop......We totally suckered my mom and aunt into helping too! Here are some of the pictures... Remember--this is NOT the finished product.......

Today I went to the doctors office and got to see the baby. The little sprout sure moves around when you want to take a picture! Everything is normal and right on track with the baby. He/She is currently one pound and four ounces!

I'm still really tired but doing well other than that. I have gained 19 lbs total, which is also right on track.

Here are some pictures of the little one!

Beef and Boards

Marc and I were treated last Christmas to a VIP Membership with the Beef and Boards Dinner Theater in Indianapolis. We loved it so much that we purchased the membership for ourselves this year!

Its been really nice to have. The plays are always really good and the food is even better! Its been great too, since most of my family has memberships. We often go with them as a group. Its a fun little way to get out and relax.

Last night, Marc was unable to go with me and the rest of my family to the show, so I invited my super good friend Stephanie! We had a really good time! The show was called Don't Dress For Dinner. Once a year Beef and Boards has a comedy instead of a musical. This was the comedy if you couldn't guess from the name--and boy was it funny....A little racy humor, but funny none the less.

Here are some pics of the good times we had! If you notice, even Baby Roberts was in attendance! (The baby's favorite part was the beef stroganoff) :)

Hello World!

Hello everyone! We finally joined the crowd of bloggers--with no pressure from my family of course! (wink, wink) You know who you are!

Let me start from the begining. We started dating back at the begining of our college careers. Our first offical date was actually on the day of my oldest sister, Jenny, wedding. We've basically been together ever since (with a few minor bumps...but that could be a whole other post!)

We were married on September 8, 2007 (9-8-07 for those of you who have a hard time remembering dates!) Our wedding seemed like it was right out of a fairy tale. It went off without a hitch. Wedding at 10:30, followed by a delicious lunch which included a chocolate fountain! We were then swept away by limo to the airport to leave for our honeymoon at Disney World.

I'll have to post wedding pictures later. Here is one for now:

The May before our wedding we purchased a fixer upper that sits on 2.5 acres and down the road from my folks. We spent all our pre-wedding time and money fixing the place up. Its not so bad now. We still need the big things like windows and siding...But those things will come with time :)

We have a small brood already--of pets that is. I gave Marc Duke, our Golden Retriever, as a wedding gift. He is a super sweet dog. We couldn't have gotten any luckier with his temperment. He is a little big, however...making him now an outdoor dog. The following January we added CataLena to our family. She's an awesome cat that has really added alot of excitment to our life. She and Duke just love each other too. And not too long ago Daisy, our tiny Yorkie/Silky cross came to live with us. Weighing in at 3 lbs, she is the runt of our litter. She doesn't realize that though. She totally is the queen of the castle.

Here are some pictures of the pets:

Our lives were forever changed back in October of this year. We went to my doctors and confirmed what we had suspected with the sound of a simple heart beat. We are going to be parents in May. We were both so excited, nervous, scared, and oh yeah, did I mention EXCITED? We're 21 weeks along, over half the way there!

Here are some pictures of the little sprout now:

The first one is 19 weeks and 3 days. The second one is at 11.5 weeks.

I'll keep you posted on the development of our new little one. We have another ultra sound and Doctors appointment on January 22.
