Spooky Cookie! Treats Made by my Favorite Ghouls!

Thursday evening my mom invited the girls over to make Halloween cookies. They had a blast! Though I think Maddie had more fun playing in the flour and sliding the cookie cutters on her arm, Abby seem to have the concept down pat! We all enjoyed eating them! YUM!

Since you can't try one of their delicious treats, I hope you enjoy the pictures!

My Little Farm Girl!

Miss Madelyn has a new outside toy - a John Deere tractor! (Thanks for sharing it with us Aunt Jenny!) She really liked "riding it" up and down the drive way. We tried "off roading" a few times, but found it was a much smoother ride on the beaten path.

Hope you enjoyed the video and the pics!

Me and My Mad Skills....Sorta....

So, shock and amazement...I never learned how to sew. Its not something I thought I ever wanted to try. I made a pair of shorts once in 7th grade for school. Other than that, never have tried. Well, recently I thought - how cool would it be to be able to make baby blankets for my friends when they have babies? Or how neat would it be to make some thing fun for Maddie or some new pillows for our couch! Soooo I'm learning to sew! My grandma (who mastered the skill of sewing) sold me one of her sewing machines and gave me the first instructions. Well, why wait I say. So I made a blanket that very day! It was fun and now I want to go to JoAnns and get more material! See what you think!

Work, Work, Work

Dry wall is going up! YAY! And the home remodeling continues. Hopefully we'll have dry wall up this week, paint on the walls this weekend, and carpet next week! Keep your fingers crossed that we can get this pulled together!

Playing and Painting

This weekend was beautiful. It was just a perfect fall weekend! Me and Maddie decided we should take advantage of the weather. So we did some playing, but we also did some painting. Her favorite I believe was painting the pumpkin. She got a real kick out of the squishy paint! I don't know what had more paint on it, the pumpkin, us, or the pets! Enjoy the pictures!

Spooky!

My Aunt Sandy bought a Halloween shirt for Maddie. It is too cute! I tried to get a picture of Maddie this morning before I had to head for work. She wasn't in the "posing for the camera" mood this morning. She was more in the "I want to move" mood (seems to be the case more and more with my little one!) Anyhoo, here are the three pictures I was able to capture.

Happy Friday!

The Frost is on the Pumpkin...

Fall is in full swing - and I'm loving every minute of it! Fall is absolutely my favorite time of year! I love sweatshirts and the smell of harvest. The colors of the leaves and the pumpkins. I love the warm afternoons but the cool evenings. Yes- there is no better time of year! If only there wasn't a burn ban right now...The evenings are perfect for a camp fire!

My dad planted some popcorn this year next to his Indian corn. Madelyn and my niece, Abby, were super excited to help "Pa" pick corn!

Enjoy the pictures!

Extreme Home Makeover - Roberts Edition

When Marc and I bought our house three years ago this past May, we knew we had a lot of work to do to it to get it where we wanted it. The past month we've been ripping out the front room. While it didn't take long to rip out, its taking some time to put together. In the mean time, all of the furniture and mess from that room has transferred to our dining room. In efforts to restore some order, we decided to find a spot for this extra furniture(that has no plans to go back in to the newly remodeled toy room). So we had to rearrange the current living room set up. What should have been a quick switch soon turned into an all day event. Here is some of the chaos that took place at our house!

Looking towards the front door....The couch used to be along the wall with the stars. The baby gate that is just hanging out goes in front of our TV which is currently sitting on the floor.
You can see into the front room in this pictures. See, no walls!
Maddie was taking her scheduled 15 minute break...Then it was back to work for her. If she can't pull her weight then she's gone! LOL!
