North American Farm Machinery Show

Every year since we started dating (2003 but our first NAFMS together was our Valentines Day in 2004), we've gone to the Farm Machinery Show in Louisville four our Valentines date. I know, we're they type of hopeless romantics that they make movies from! Ha! But it something we've always enjoyed. There is nothing better than spending a day with the one you love, looking at new equipment that you won't be able to afford until its 20 years old, grabbing freebies and eating fried food! Last year, instead of the Farm Machinery Show, we broke tradition and that resulted in two days of missed work from food poisoning. Sooo, not to tempt fate, we went with tradition this year.

This year was special, however. The little bug has NEVER been to this farm show. She got to enjoy the sounds and food from the one two years ago, as a very pregnant Chelsea trudged around on swollen legs after her very energetic husband.... So it was really exciting to see her expression to the big "twa tors" and get excited about all the "ba woons" (translated: tractors and balloons).

The farm show wasn't our only excitement. The night before we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Scottsburg and Miss Maddie got to go swimming - which she absolutely loves! I'm happy with the fact that she's not afraid of the water, but that same fact also terrifies me. She was climbing up and down the steps in the pool and started jumping off the bottom one. Thankfully Daddy was right there each time to catch her, though I know the first time surprised him more than it did her. She dunks herself too. Its too cute!

We also had the chance to meet up with Marc's cousin, Barrett. He was there with a group from Kansas State. It was nice to catch up since we don't get to see each other often.

Enjoy the pictures!

"Push it!" exclaimed Maddie

On our way to the pool...Poor Maddie with her hair in her eyes!

We are so excited about the warmer weather! I can't wait for spring. I know the weather forcasters say a chance of flurries next week, but I hope they're wrong and it continues to stay in the 50s. Its been so nice night not having to wear a heavy coat and my snow boots!

Madelyn and I decided to take advantage of this warm weather the other night while we waited for daddy to come home from work.

Enjoy the pictures!
