Quick Trip to Kansas

This past week, we headed out to Kansas to be with Marc's family for the funeral of his grandmother. While funerals are always sad events, I tried to capture some memories from the fun part of the trip. I'm limiting how much I write due to the amount of pictures I'm posting. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Shelbie and Maddie (the Little Bug is holding Agatha the cat!)

Look at my kitty Grandpa!

Bottoms up!

Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa at Pizza Hut

On the way home we stopped for fuel and a potty break at the Worlds Largest Truck Stop in Iowa!

Photo Op: This is by a tractor outside of the Machine Shed (awesome restaurant by the way!) I don't know about Marc, but I know Maddie and I were EXHAUSTED by this point!

Another Photo Opt: A giant ear of corn!

Maddie and Daddy hanging out

We couldn't get her to sit on the pig, but she was sorta okay with sitting on the old mower...

Away from the Machine Shed now....We're at Antique Archeology.... If you don't know what that is, then you need to sign off Blogger, go to the Google search engine and type it in. Then you need to watch American Pickers every night this week before coming back to this blog post to finish the rest of the pictures!

LOVE IT!

Family Picture Time!

Jon and Betty Jo

Such a neat place! I would love to go back!
(PS, as we were getting out of our vehicles, Mike from Pickers was pulling out of the drive...If only we were a few minutes earlier!)

More to come...

  2. This is from Rajean B:

"Love the pictures. I haven't seen any episodes of Pickers, but I know my parents are fans (my dad always wondered how close they were to us). We are huge fans of the Machine Shed too! We had Dallas' 1st birthday party there with my parents.

Sorry about your family's loss - you'll be in my prayers."

Thanks so much for the comments! I didn't mean to click delete Rajean, I thought my mouse was over the "Publish" button but apparently it was closer to the delete. I'll try to make sure to be more careful next time!
